Privacy at sunday44

Effective July 17, 2026

sunday44 is designed to work without an account or a sunday44 location backend. Your outside journal, saved place, goals, and preferences stay on your device.

Information stored on your device

The app stores your selected city or location coordinates, outside-journal entries, optional durations, weekly goal, reminder setting, Travel Mode setting, and onboarding preferences locally. You can delete journal entries in the app. Removing the app deletes its local data, subject to the normal behavior of device backups you control.

Location and forecast services

If you choose current location, sunday44 asks for When In Use location access and uses a coordinate to request local forecast data from Apple Weather. Manual city search uses Apple MapKit and does not require location permission.

Paid Travel Mode is optional. Only after you turn it on does sunday44 request Always location access and use Apple’s significant-location-change service so the saved forecast can follow meaningful moves. It does not use continuous GPS tracking. You can turn Travel Mode or location access off at any time in the app or iOS Settings.

Apple may process information needed to provide WeatherKit, MapKit, location, StoreKit, and notification services under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy. sunday44 does not receive a server-side location history.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, the app asks for notification permission and schedules a local reminder before the selected forecast window. You can disable reminders in sunday44 or iOS Settings.

Purchases

Subscriptions are offered through Apple StoreKit. Apple processes payment and account information. The app checks verified StoreKit transactions to determine whether Travel Mode is available; sunday44 does not receive your full payment-card details.

No sale, advertising, or cross-app tracking

sunday44 does not sell personal information, show third-party ads, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites. The app does not include a developer analytics SDK.

This website

This is a static website with no advertising, analytics script, or marketing cookies. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which may process standard request information such as an IP address and user agent to deliver and secure the site under Cloudflare’s policies.

Your choices

You can use a manually selected city, decline location and notification permissions, disable Travel Mode, delete journal entries, and remove the app. iOS Settings lets you review or revoke system permissions.
